Job Description
Reporting to the Group Manager the post holder will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Glasgow’s Resource & Recycling strategy and range of frontline operations across the City. The post holders will undertake: • Planning, coordination, development, implementation and monitoring of the City’s Resource & Recycling Strategy • Project management and delivery of critical transformation projects linked to the City’s Resource & Recycling Strategy • Management of internal and external funding processes to secure investment for delivery of the City’s Resource & Recycling Strategy • Implement the appropriate level of governance in all work to ensure accountability, transparency and facilitate senior decision-making • Manage internal and external resources to ensure the effective running of the service • Procurement of works, goods and services as required in delivery of the City’s Resource & Recycling Strategy • Represent and promote the council through engagement with external stakeholders e.g. Zero Waste Scotland (ZWS), Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE), etc • Collaboration with other council departments to support delivery of the council’s Strategic Plan • Undertake any other relevant duties as directed by the Group Manager
