The Defence Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex defence projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and adhering to stringent compliance and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines. Lead project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring through full project life cycle * Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal team members. * Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop risk management plans and contingency strategies. Monitor and report on project risks, issues, and mitigation plans. * Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects comply with regulatory, quality, and safety standards. Implement and oversee quality assurance protocols to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards. * Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met. Allocate project resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilisation and efficiency. * Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report project progress, status, and performance metrics to stakeholders. Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for executive management. Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. * Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within the defence industry or related sectors. * * Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex defence projects. * Experience with regulatory compliance in the defence sector. * Certifications: * Project Management Practitioner (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable. * Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. In-depth knowledge of defence industry standards and regulations.
