Research Assistant/Scientist - Biology
SRG is pleased to partner with an organization involved in developing human biomimetic platforms. As a Research Assistant/Scientist in the biology team, your role will involve supporting projects through conducting experiments and analysis to a high standard.
Note: To succeed, you must have industry experience post-degree, a strong understanding of GCP, and experience with ELISA and RT-qPCR/cell-based assays.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Cell line and primary cell culture — expanding cells and maintaining sufficient cell stocks.
2. Performing biological assays (e.g., ELISA).
3. Data analysis to produce reliable reports for clients and meet deadlines.
4. Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment in accordance with HSE policies to ensure safety.
Ideal Candidate:
1. BSc (or equivalent) in a Biology-related discipline.
2. Expertise in mammalian cell cultures and ELISAs.
3. Experience with liver or liver disease is highly beneficial.
4. Proactive team player able to work autonomously.
5. Adaptable multitasker in a dynamic environment.
6. Experience with advanced cell cultures (e.g., spheroids, organoids, primary cells).
7. Previous laboratory experience.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
