Due to continued growth we wish to recruit for the role of Trade Counter Sales based at our Coleraine Branch. We are looking for someone who will maximise sales, build good relationships with customers whilst continually striving to exceed their expectations. Your key responsibilities for Counter Sales will include: Dealing with all retail and trade sales enquiries Identifying and assisting customers with product selection Cash handling and the operation of a computerised stock system A commitment to high standards of customer service The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: Strong customer service skills - Friendly, approachable and confident dealing with trade professionals and retail customers in a fast-paced trade counter environment. Good product knowledge - Understanding of plumbing, heating and bathroom products, or experience within a builders' merchant/trade environment. Excellent communication skills - Able to clearly advise customers, understand requirements, and build strong working relationships with local tradespeople. Sales-focused mindset - Proactive in identifying opportunities to upsell and promote current offers while delivering excellent service. Team player - Works well as part of a branch team while also being able to take initiative independently. Organised and detail-oriented - Accurate in processing orders, handling cash/card payments, managing stock and ensuring paperwork is completed correctly. IT competent - Comfortable using EPOS systems and basic computer software for order processing and stock control. Reliable and punctual - Committed to maintaining high standards of attendance and professionalism. Health & Safety aware - Understands the importance of maintaining a safe working environment within a trade counter and warehouse setting. Flexible and adaptable - Willing to assist with goods in/out, stock replenishment and general branch duties as required.
