Join to apply for the SEND Lifeskills and Vocational Education Assistant Manager role at HALOW (BIRMINGHAM).
Role internally referred to as Building Futures Assistant Manager.
Location: Primarily based in our Guildford head office, with occasional work based from our Woking satellite office, our community-based activities and departmental events.
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am to 5:30pm with one hour unpaid lunch break, with occasional weekends and evenings for specific events.
Salary: £34,125 per annum. Annual Leave: 33 days, inclusive of bank holidays.
Training: Fully paid training is given and further development opportunities are available.

We are seeking an inspiring and visionary Building Futures Assistant Manager to support leading our community-based life skills programme and vocational activities for adults with learning disabilities. You will drive forward our plans to develop and expand the educational and vocational outcomes of the programme, ensuring they are innovative, impactful, and person-centred.

You Will Be Responsible For Areas Including
* Supporting the Head of Building Futures to manage the service delivery, ensuring business continuity and providing managerial oversight in their absence.
* Sourcing and building relationships with existing and prospective partners and organisations who can offer support, advice and information opportunities to the people we support.
* Leading on managing local events and other funding streams including organising referrals to the programme.
* Being responsible for Safeguarding around people we support.
* Supporting the Head of Building Futures to continuously review and develop programmes to deliver the best outcomes for people we support.
* Working with the HR and Corporate Fundraising departments, and business partners, to manage the deployment of volunteers to support activities.

Requirements
* Minimum 3 years experience of event/activity organisation, ideally within a setting working with vulnerable adults or children.
* NVQ in Health and Social Care/relevant qualification (or equivalent level of on-the-job experience).
* Experience of managing communications with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience of safeguarding and risk assessments.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and able to cope under pressure.
* A willingness to provide hands-on support at activities when required.
* Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available for this role).
* Willing to provide suitable reference and undertake a DBS Check. Initial DBS cost paid by HALOW. It is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity to apply for roles unsupervised with that group.
