Overview
We are partnering with a respected nationwide charity currently undergoing a major digital transformation. As part of this journey, they are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives across the organisation.
This pivotal role sits at the intersection of business and technology - responsible for designing end‑to‑end, high‑level solution architectures, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, enterprise standards, and technical delivery.
Role Purpose
The Solutions Architect will lead the design and definition of enterprise‑level solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. You will work across multiple programmes simultaneously, providing architectural oversight and strategic input while acting as a trusted link between business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the creation and delivery of end‑to‑end, high‑level solution designs across a range of projects and programmes.
* Define integration patterns and oversee the design of interfaces across systems and platforms to ensure cohesive data and process flows.
* Act as the architectural lead across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise strategy.
* Work closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into clear and actionable solution designs.
* Facilitate collaboration between business and IT teams, ensuring solutions are realistic, scalable, and future‑proof.
* Provide architectural oversight to third‑party vendors and delivery partners, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
* Contribute to the organisation's architecture principles, design governance, and technical roadmaps.
* Support technology selection, procurement processes, and vendor engagement.
* Participate in architectural governance forums and ensure compliance with quality and security standards.
* Champion best practices in solution architecture and system integration across the project lifecycle.
Person Specification
Essential
* Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Solutions Architect, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise‑level solutions.
* Strong experience designing and documenting high‑level architectures and end‑to‑end solution designs.
* Demonstrated experience working on systems integration projects across diverse technology landscapes.
* Strong ability to balance technical feasibility with business objectives, ensuring pragmatic, value‑driven solutions.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills, with experience influencing both business and technical audiences.
* Sound understanding of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and governance frameworks.
* Experience working in Agile environments, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
* A collaborative problem‑solver who can manage multiple priorities and deliver within complex stakeholder environments.
Desirable
* Experience with Salesforce and related platforms such as Marketing Cloud.
* Knowledge of Informatica or other enterprise integration and data management tools.
* Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
* Background in CRM, data, or application modernisation programmes.
* Previous experience within the not‑for‑profit or public sector.
