Where no two days are the same.​ About the job you’re considering​ Senior Software Engineer - Avionics (Stevenage/HYBRID) A brilliant opportunity to advance your career while working with cutting-edge technologies in the avionics domain as a Senior Software Engineer. Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.​ If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: ​identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)​ Your role You can bring your whole self to work. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.​ Your skills and experience​ Hold an Engineering/Physics/Maths degree (or are working towards one for interns) Experience with the following technologies is highly desired (required for experienced applicants): C/C++ development Python development, in particular data processing and the use of graphing libraries git for version control Linux operating systems and bash CLI/scripting Experience with the following technologies is beneficial: GitLab/GitHub or similar platform for collaborative development Continuous Integration (CI) gcc, make, cmake and related compilation infrastructure ROS 2, or other robotics middleware Integrated development workflow, in particular use of VS Code as an IDE Experience in the following topics: Control algorithms, in particular control of actuators or processing of sensor data (e.g. IMU, lidar) and vision based navigation Simulation modelling, developing models of equipment, dynamics or the environment Robotics hands on skills, e.g.: soldering basic electronics basic networking basic knowledge about cameras OS installation and package management Abilities : can do attitude can work individually and also as part of a team speak up mindset accept group democratic decisions Don’t meet every single requirements?
