A vacancy at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Band 7 Chief Cardiac Clinical Physiologist.
The role involves contributing to the echocardiography service and occasionally assisting with other cardiac diagnostics. Successful candidates should be able to work independently and have significant experience in performing and reporting echocardiograms.
**Please note** – the echo service may be extended to include weekend working in the future as part of a 6/7 day service. The successful candidate will be required to participate in weekend cover.
* Work closely with other cardiac physiologists, Lead Clinicians in Cardiology, Consultant Cardiologists and the service manager.
* Provide a range of techniques for recording, measuring and monitoring physiological changes in patients and preparing reports for Adult Echocardiography.
* Be encouraged to undertake further training in the above techniques.
* Communicate with patients, relatives and other staff in a professional manner, concerning the assessment, treatment and progress of patients, whilst ensuring respect for the patient’s wishes and maintaining confidentiality.
* Act as an efficient role model and resource advisor to colleagues, with a sound understanding of quality assurance concepts, and develop, implement and maintain quality standards.
* Be involved in the training and assessment of junior staff, taking a leading role for physiologist lead Exercise Tolerance test training.
**Successful candidates must** hold accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography in Adult Echocardiography, or an equivalent qualification.
