Job Description
We are currently looking for an NDT Level 2 or 3 Instructor/Examiner/Engineer. The role involves preparing and delivering high‑quality training courses to candidates at our BINDT approved training school in Filton, Bristol and undertaking NDT inspections in multiple methods at the Testia facility and customer sites.

Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Permanent.
Duties
* Train internal and external candidates in a variety of NDT methods.
* Invigilate, examine and mark examinations, ensuring appropriate standards are fulfilled.
* Support the administration of training processes and contribute to quality requirements, including pre‑ and post‑session duties such as scoping, pricing, contract review, exam writing and documentation.
* Manage availability of training equipment and consumables, liaising with procurement to source replacement stock.
* Possess and maintain Level 2 or Level 3 (EN4179) qualifications and be willing to upgrade to Level 3 (EN41792) if required.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with BINDT requirements and support internal and external audits.
* Assist with production of coursework and training materials, and contribute to development of examination papers.
* Engage students and build professional relationships with training partners.
* Maintain and obtain new certifications as required by operational demands.
* Pro‑actively engage with potential customers and support the sales team in marketing campaigns.
* Travel nationally and internationally for short periods as required.
* During gaps between training provision, plan, evaluate and perform NDT inspections for national and international customers.
* Document test results in writing in accordance with company procedures.
Essential Attributes for Role
* EN4179 Level 2 qualifications (Level 3 desirable) in Ultrasonic Testing, Phased Array, Eddy Current Testing, Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, or Digital Radiographic Testing.
* Hold or can obtain a Visual Acuity performance certificate.
* Evidence of training in instructional techniques or a teaching certificate.
* A growth mindset with an interest in continuous improvement.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work resiliently and flexibly to meet competing demands of an agile commercial operation.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
Desirable Attributes of Role
* Good knowledge of aircraft structures, components, materials science and product technology.
* Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office tools.
* Formal certified instructional technique training from a recognised provider.
* Documented and validated ‘on the job training’ experience hours.

Contract Details
Interviews: May 2026. Start date: June 2026. Salary: circa £50,000 depending on experience.
