Job overview An exciting opportunity for a permanent Band 4 Theatre Schedular has arisen within the IMSK division (Trauma & Orthopaedics) at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust. The role will be working alongside the newly appointed Admissions Assistant Service Manager providing operational administration. The role is varied, challenging and with great opportunities to develop new skills, experience, and knowledge. The ideal candidate must be proactive, work autonomously, yet work well within a large team environment. You must be able to problem solve and build strong working relationships with the Administration Team. A ‘can-do’ attitude and “thinking outside of the box” is a must. The ideal candidate must be willing to push themselves and take on new challenges. As this is a fast based role, the ability to adapt and be flexible is essential. Advert You will be the point of contact for patients awaiting surgery. You need to be able to stay calm under extreme pressure. Working in a medium sized team with many personalities. Gain a good understanding of the 18-week pathway all of which you will be fully trained. We also like candidates to be able to work using their own initiative as the Department is extremely busy. You must be a team player with the ability to juggle many requests at any one time. The candidate will be allocated their own Consultants. The candidate needs to be reliable, empathetic with an advanced level of computer skills and good time keeping.
