Your Role:
· You will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of locks around the site, undertaking new, reactive or PPM tasking as part of a highly skilled maintenance support function within the Garrison.
· Amongst other duties, you will install, repair, rebuild, and service mechanical or electrical locking devices using hand tools and specialist equipment. You will also cut new or duplicate keys, using key cutting machinery.
· You will ensure the adoption of ASDL’s HSE policies and procedures throughout your area of responsibility.
· You will ensure Aspire Safe Systems of Work are complied with as required.
· You will be fully conversant with Risk Assessments and Method Statements as well as COSHH.
· You will ensure acceptable standards of productivity and workmanship are maintained in the execution of work.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications: It is essential that you have completed the course from British Locksmith Institute, and that you have a diverse experience within the Locksmith field. It is also essential for this role to have Industrial, Commercial, and Domestic building services experience and to either have, or be eligible for, MoD Security Clearance.
* Experience: A proven experience of working as a Locksmith is required, as is an understanding of SSoW.
* Skills: Good communication skills are beneficial for this role, as is the ability to operate effectively as a competent person and understand the needs and implications of RAMS.
* Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
