Responsibilities
* Perform business development by engaging two contacts at each account, using two different activity types per quarter.
* Generate new opportunities, schedule product demos, and drive qualified leads to the sales team.
* Establish and develop introductory relationships with prospects.
* Conduct online research of accounts to understand financial metrics, identify pain points, and craft customized messaging.
* Set up reports and dashboards to manage territory, goals, and activities.
* Update Salesforce with all business development activities and contact information.
* Research and add new contacts into Salesforce, maintaining data integrity of 98%.
* Deepen understanding of Salesforce CRM, including report and dashboard configuration.
* Complete marketing and Salesforce data projects as assigned.
* Act as a key contact between departments and BDG/Marketing, utilizing Pardot as a business development tool.
* Serve as a mentor to other BDG members, exemplifying BDG values and professionalism.
Qualifications Required
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; 4 years of sales experience or equivalent combination of education and performance.
* Self-starter with disciplined self-management skills and experience with sales messaging and scripting.
* Experience cold calling banks or credit unions.
* Proven ability to leverage social media for business development.
* Ability to research and analyze bank industry data.
* Desire to actively pursue new business (hunter mentality).
* Effective communicator and quick learner.
* Strong organizational skills for multitasking and daily workflow management.
* Process and data-oriented, with proficiency in Salesforce reporting and dashboards.
* Motivated to meet and exceed metrics and goals.
