Protocol Education is working with a structured, well-run secondary school in BS25 who are looking for an Unqualified Supply Teacher to support with day-to-day classroom cover, particularly within History.
This is a brilliant opportunity if you’re considering teacher training, coming from a humanities background, or simply looking for flexible, meaningful work in education. As an Unqualified Supply Teacher, you’ll step into classrooms where work is already planned, behaviour systems are clear, and support is on hand.
Flexible working available from 2 to 5 days per week, with both short-term and longer-term placements.
The School
This BS25 secondary school is rated Good by Ofsted and has a strong reputation locally for being calm, purposeful and ambitious.
What’s helpful to know as a cover supervisor?
• Behaviour is described as calm and positive, with clear expectations across the school
• Pupils are respectful and used to structured routines
• Staff share consistent behaviour systems, so you won’t be reinventing the wheel each lesson
• A broad and ambitious curriculum means departments are well organised, including History
• SLT are visible and supportive, with strong safeguarding systems in place
• The school promotes kindness, curiosity and determination alongside academic achievement
For a cover supervisor, that means clear seating plans, centralised behaviour policies, and a culture where pupils understand expectations. You’re there to guide learning, not firefight.
