The role will involve:
1. Sales Manager role, selling a manufactured range of permanent GRP formwork products for bridges
2. Dealing with main contractors, subcontractors, architects, and specifying consultants
3. Managing and developing sales strategies
4. Building, fostering, and developing relationships with clients
5. Chasing new business, as no project is the same
6. Arranging CPDs for the Head of Sales
7. Liaising with Estimating, Production, and Design teams to ensure deadlines are met and projects run smoothly
8. Occasionally attending client visits and CPDs (1-2 overnight stays per month)
9. Contributing to the UK sales target, roughly bringing in circa £3.5m per year
The ideal applicant will:
1. Have extensive outbound sales experience within the construction industry
2. Experience within the civils or structures market sector is advantageous
3. Experience selling into main contractors, architects, and specifying consultants is preferred
4. Be proactive with excellent organisational skills
5. Proficiency with a CRM system is essential
6. IT literate (Microsoft Office)
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Confident and professional telephone manner
9. Motivated and seeking a career
10. Stable career background, with no job hoppers
