Job Description
We are hiring a Chef Manager at Buckton Fields Primary School, Buckton Fields, Northampton, who is committed to providing future generations with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term-time only and involves no weekends, offering great flexibility.
The role includes:
* £13.50 per hour
* 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Term-time only – 39 weeks per year
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
* Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements regarding Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislations and procedures
* Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers, exceeding expectations
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
* Acting as the main point of contact for the client at your school, recommending and implementing improvements
* Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets to ensure achievement
* Supporting and training teams, leading from the front, ensuring all training is completed, and managing performance
* Supervising and supporting the Chef Manager at Glebe Primary School
