Welding Test & Run Engineer – Chorley
Do you have hands-on experience servicing, repairing, and calibrating MMA, MIG, and TIG welding machines? If so, we have an exciting career opportunity waiting for you.
As a Test & Run Engineer, you'll be at the heart of keeping our hire fleet in top condition. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include servicing, repairing, and testing a wide variety of MIG, TIG & MMA welding machines and petrol/diesel welders, ensuring they are safe to go back out on hire. You will also carry out routine maintenance and calibrations, in line with manufacturer recommendations, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
You'll need to be computer literate to accurately record service and inspection details using our internal systems.

Welding Test & Run Engineer your responsibilities
* To service, repair, and test a variety of welding machine and hire equipment
* Carry out routine maintenance in line with manufacturers’ recommendations
* Maintain compliance with all industry standards and safety regulation
* Record service and inspection details accurately using our internal systems
* Support colleagues with technical advice when required
* Ensure a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
* Be a valued member of the fitting team and wider First Response operation
Welding Test & Run Engineer must haves
* Experience service & repairing welding machines & equipment.
* Electrical, diesel and petrol welding equipment knowledge.e
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Computer literate for completing service records and fault diagnosis
* Full UK Driving Licence (preferable)
* A strong team ethic and positive can-do attitude
How we Reward you
* Salary: £35 – 40k depending on experience
* Benefits: Company Pension Hours: 07:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch) Location: Chorley, Lancashire
