I'm currently partnering with a Wantage based global manufacturing leader who needs extra support in their busy Shared Service team. They're looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join them on a 3-month contract during a peak period - perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on payroll environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Processing and checking monthly payrolls for around 500 employees across four UK sites
* Handling Tax, NIC, and pension calculations
* Managing statutory payments and pension administration
* Supporting payroll finance tasks including journals, reconciliations, and control accounts
What we're looking for:
* Strong background in end-to-end, high-volume payroll (multi-site experience a plus)
* Solid understanding of UK Tax, NIC, and pension auto-enrolment
* Confident with Excel and Microsoft Office
* Detail-driven, accurate, and great with numbers
* A proactive team player who can hit the ground running
