Job Description
Amazing hotel in a beautiful location is looking to appoint an Assistant Restaurant Manager. They have two restaurants (one formal and one informal) and you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of both.
Your new job
* Assist the Restaurant Manager in the recruitment of staff for the restaurant
* Check and authorise rotas, timesheets and wages against business needs and budgeted figures
* Order stock to reflect levels of trading
* Support the restaurant manager in the ongoing training, development and performance management of a large team
* Be hands-on in your approach
* Exceed guest expectations always by supervising the restaurants in a relaxed but professional way
* Supervise functions and events professionally, ensuring the highest level of customer service
* Ensure the Health and Safety Policy is always implemented, and that any issues that arise are dealt with swiftly
Requirements
* Supervisor experience in a similar setting
* Previous experience of managing a team
* A good knowledge of customer care and complaint handling
* Barista experience
* Experience in cash handling
* Computer literate
* Good communication skills
* Budgetary and costing experience
* First Aid certificate
* Expert knowledge of food hygiene
* Wine and drinks knowledge
* Natural leader
