Are you a proactive and detail-driven procurement professional looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a talented Buyer to join our clients dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you’ll play a key role in managing purchasing operations, building supplier relationships, and contributing to supply chain efficiency.
Description of the role:
* Manage and maintain strong supplier relationships through clear and consistent communication.
* Raise, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
* Negotiate favourable terms and pricing with vendors to maximise value.
* Monitor inventory levels and proactively prevent shortages or delays.
* Evaluate suppliers and suggest improvements to strengthen the supply chain.
* Mitigate risk by flagging and addressing potential backorder issues.
* Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
* Review and approve invoices, resolving any discrepancies.
About you:
* 1–3 years of procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
* Hands-on use of MRP/ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus).
* Competent with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Previous experience working with cross-functional teams.
* CIPS qualification or working towards it (preferred but not essential).
