We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy and fast-paced finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic organisation where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function in a fun and friendly team.
The Role:
As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing high volumes of invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the wider finance team in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing a high volume of purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry
* Matching, batching, and coding invoices in line with company procedures
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies efficiently
* Preparing and processing payment runs (BACS/CHAPS)
* Handling supplier queries and building strong working relationships
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the purchase ledger
* Supporting month-end processes, including accruals and reporting
* Assisting with ad hoc finance duties as required
About You:
* Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
* Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
