We are a friendly and supportive GP Surgery based in Orpington, Kent with approximately 11,000 registered patients. We are looking for a Health Care Assistant who holds a care certificate tojoin our nursing team. We offer flexibility and development for the right candidate as well as regular training and is a fantastic opportunity to learn.
This role is face to face with patients held in a clinic setting.
Main duties of the job
You will beresponsible for running your own clinical session and completing patientrecords on our clinical system.

B12, shingles and andpneumococcal injections

Flu and Covid vaccines(seasonal)
Urinalysis
Weight management
Working with thePractice Nurse and other clinicians/non clinicians within the Surgery.
Disposal of clinical waste in line with infection control

Ensure the clinical computer system is kept upto date with accurate details recorded
Ensure appropriate items of service claims aremade accurately, reporting any problems to the practice manager
Ensure accurate completion of all necessarydocumentation associated with patient health care and registration with thepractice
Ensure collection and maintenance ofstatistical information required for regular and ad hoc reports
Attend and participate in practice meetings asrequired
Tocreate and send recall letters for clinics
Toassist in seasonal and special projects as requested e.g. flu campaign
Orderingand display of Health Promotion materials
3.Management of appointment system
Ensure total familiarity with all appointment systems including regularand incidental variations
Book appointments and recalls ensuring sufficient information isrecorded.
Monitor effectiveness of the system and report any problems orvariations to the Reception Manager
