Main duties of the job
Responsible for carrying out delegated nursing tasks to a varied group of
patients some of which may have physical and/or mental disabilities or be suffering from illness i.e bathing, toileting, feeding, last offices. To assist with intentional rounding and providing pressure care to patients, and maintain documentation. Inform nursing staff of any issues or changes in patients condition. To recognise and respond to any changes in patient’s behaviour/condition and report to Registered Nurse at all times. To recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
* To maintain a tidy and clean Department
* To escort alone low dependency patients to other wards
* Maintain effective communication with patients/carers
* Maintain effective communication with colleague
* Assist with obtaining urine/faeces samples as required by trained nurse.
* To work with other health professionals to achieve a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment and care.
* Assist patients with their dietary requirements and monitor daily food order as instructed by registered nurse.
* Assist in maintaining level of stock, re-stocking, and other general housekeeping duties.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
