Instrumentation Engineer | Electronics / Test Systems | Aerospace | Shift-Based (Bedford)
We’re looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to support advanced aerodynamic testing programmes within a highly technical aerospace environment.
This is a hands-on role focused on assembling, deploying, maintaining, and fault-finding instrumentation systems used across specialist test facilities and wind tunnel operations. You’ll be working closely with test engineers and wider engineering teams to ensure reliable data acquisition and minimal facility downtime.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
-Background as an Electronics Technician, Instrumentation Engineer, or similar
-Experience with electrical testing, fault-finding, and repair
-Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
-Experience assembling cables or instrumentation hardware
-Comfortable working in hands-on engineering / test environments
-Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Desirable:
-Experience with strain gauges, load cells, or pressure transducers
-Exposure to data acquisition systems
-Aerospace, automotive, or test facility experience
-Experience working in shift-based engineering environments
Additional Information:
-Bedford-based
-40-hour week on rotating shifts
-Shift patterns: 07:00–15:00 / 14:00–22:00
-Overtime paid at enhanced rates (1.33x Weekdays, 1.5x Saturdays, 2x Sundays & Bank holidays)
