The Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Programmes & Project Section Lead will provide strategic leadership, coordination, and delivery oversight of major health, safety, and wellbeing projects and programmes across the university. They will be responsible for leading a portfolio of initiatives designed to support legal compliance, foster a strong safety culture, and enhance the physical and mental wellbeing of students, staff, and contractors. - ABOUT YOU - The postholder will be required to be: - A degree or equivalent level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management, or a closely related discipline e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety. - Chartered Membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or Member of IIRSM (International Institute of Risk & Safety Management). OR - Registered for Chartered Membership of IOSH or Member working towards Fellowship of IIRSM by examination and experience and a demonstrable commitment to achieving this within the next year. - Significant experience managing and delivering health, safety, and wellbeing (HSW) projects or programmes in a complex, multi-site organisation, with a proven track record of successfully planning, delivering, and evaluating initiatives that led to measurable improvements in safety or wellbeing outcomes.
