The post holder will work within an established team to develop and maintain quality assured placements for pre-registration nursing students and other learners in the South Tees area. The role involves working closely with learners and practice assessors across all clinical areas to support students in achieving their learning outcomes. The post holder will assist the Senior Practice Placement Facilitator in ensuring the quality of placements by providing support and guidance to assessors. They will also collaborate with Higher Education Institutions and NHSE to ensure placement areas meet the needs of the nursing curriculum, contributing to a high-quality learning experience aligned with NMC standards (2019).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate commitment to developing professional and clinical practice at all levels, aligning with the Nursing & Midwifery Strategy and Patient Safety Strategy. They will promote quality and safety through education and role modelling, ensure adherence to the Trust's records management policies, and maintain professional registration. The role involves evaluating own practice through evidence and developing effective communication networks with service users, healthcare professionals, and statutory and voluntary organizations.
