The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts assistant to join our Accounts Team, focusing on Invoicing & Credit Control. This role is vital in ensuring accurate invoicing, effective credit control, and strong cash flow as the business continues to grow.
This is a part time role and we are flexible to work around you. This could be done 3 days a week, or around school hours, whatever works best.
Key Responsibilities
* Raising, issuing, and managing customer invoices accurately and on time
* Proactively chasing aged debtor invoices via phone and email
* Reducing credit control liabilities and improving debtor days
* Investigating and resolving invoice and account queries efficiently
* Proactively identifying and resolving issues that may delay payment
* Liaising with internal teams to resolve customer disputes.
* Sending overdue accounts to legal representatives and preparing the relevant documentation
* Meeting and exceeding set credit control targets based on percentages outstanding
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in invoicing, credit control, or accounts receivable (preferred but not essential)
* Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Ability to manage workload effectively in a growing business
* Experience using accounting or finance systems (desirable)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £18,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week
