Eating Disorder Daycare Nurse (B5-B6 Development Role)

We are seeking a dynamic Mental Health Nurse to join our Adult Eating Disorders Day Care Service. This is a substantive post (1.0 wte / 37.5 hours) and will be based at our main service hub at Farnham Road Hospital, Guildford.
The post holder will be joining what are well-established outpatient and day care facilities for working age adults with moderate to severe eating disorders.
The successful applicant will become an integral member of the Adult Eating Disorders Day Care team and will provide specialist intensive treatment to adults (18 years +) with moderate to severe eating disorders and co-existing mental health needs.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the post holder will include contributing to assessments, keywork provision, MDT meetings, handovers, physical health monitoring, risk management, care planning, meal supervision, group co-facilitation, and audit.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* To have an NMC Registration as an RMN
Experience
* Band 5 - Completed placement in Eating Disorder Setting or a specific interest in the field of Eating Disorders
* Band 6 - 18 months post qualification experience working in a patient facing role within a mental health setting.
* Band 5 & Band 6 - While experience of working with people with eating disorders is desirable, we are primarily seeking someone with a keen interest in working in the field and a willingness to develop specialist knowledge of eating disorders and their treatment.
* Band 5 & Band 6 - Experience of meal support
* Band 6 - Experience of supporting students on placement
* Band 6 - Experience of providing supervision
