Mental Health Support Worker - 37.5 hrs per week
Shifts will be either early / late, starting at 7.45am, 8am, or 9am, and finishing at 2.45pm, 9pm, or 10pm.
Working every other weekend is required.
Experience: Supporting individuals with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.

The Role:
Providing practical and emotional support to enable individuals to lead as independent a life as possible. Flexibility is essential, including working shifts on bank holidays, weekends, and potential sleep-ins.

Main duties and responsibilities:
* Supervise day-to-day care delivery, ensuring service users' needs are met and they participate in household and leisure activities.
* Ensure the care, welfare, and safety of service users and staff health and safety.
* Act as case coordinator for individual service users, reviewing and updating support plans.
* Participate in recruitment and staff selection within an equal opportunities framework.
* Undertake monthly staff supervisions and participate in appraisal programs.
* Serve as a staff skills coach, leading team building and training programs.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, Care Standards, and company policies.
* Maintain accurate service user and staff records and prepare reports.
Personal Characteristics:
* Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
* Experience supporting adults with challenging behavior, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
* Commitment to safeguarding high standards.
