Project Planner - Major Programme Delivery
Location: Warwick, or Wokingham (Hybrid)
Working Pattern: Full Time, 6 Month Contract, plus extensions
Remuneration: £500 per day, via Umbrella Company
We are seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our Transformation & Major Projects Directorate. This role is central to delivering high-impact initiatives across a diverse programme portfolio. Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning activities including scheduling, risk analysis, baseline management, and critical path analysis.
* Develop and maintain integrated project plans with input from subject matter experts.
* Monitor progress, manage change control, and ensure alignment with programme outcomes.
* Facilitate productive planning sessions with stakeholders and workstream leads.
* Advise on planning tools and methodologies (eg MS Project, POL).
* Ensure dependencies are identified and managed across workstreams.
* Support risk identification and mitigation planning.
* Contribute to PMO tasks and lead workshops when required.
About You
You are a detail-oriented planner with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach. You bring:
* Proven experience in planning roles, ideally within large or complex programmes.
* Strong technical expertise in MS Project and other planning tools.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Experience in producing visual reports to communicate timelines, risks, and progress.
Qualifications and Experience
* Familiarity with Project Online (POL), Agile methodologies, Prince2/MSP, and Scrum.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong time management and attention to detail.
* A proactive and structured approach to delivery.
