Job Description

Location: La Mon Hotel & Country Club, 41 Gransha Road, Comber

We are looking for a Reservations Assistant to join our growing team.


Responsibilities

General:

* Receiving incoming reservation enquiries from various customer types including individual leisure guests, corporate guests, tour companies, sporting groups, conference groups and any other enquiries.
* Responding to email enquiries and bookings in a professional and business‑like manner.
* Collecting online reservations from our online booking agent.
* Completing the reservation on the PMS system, ensuring details are accurate.
* Managing the reservations, ensuring bookings are confirmed, group bookings are made and chased and contributing to the daily duties in the reservations office.
* Allocating bedrooms, ensuring rates are correct.
* Updating OTA’s and monitoring rate parity.
* Work closely with the rest of the Reservations Team to maintain high efficiency and quality.
* Work closely with the reception team.

People:

* Maintain effective working relationships with clients, identify their needs and ensure repeat business.
* Work closely with front of house team.
* Develop a close working relationship with all departments and colleagues to ensure guest expectations are met.
* Develop strong working relationships with all customers to maximise sales opportunities and generate business for the future.

Service and Product:

* Manage all Sales enquiries and communicate all requests to the relevant people and departments.
* Ensure effective daily communication of essential reservation details with Reception, Housekeeping and all departments.
* Consistently update the hotel's accommodation database effectively.
* Undertake reasonable requests made by the company including flexibility in hours and responsibilities.
* Be willing to help other departments of the hotel to deliver the best possible service.
* Comply with all policies and procedures as written in the staff handbook.
* Ensure training to uphold the conditions of the Health and Safety Policy.


Qualifications

* At least 12 months hotel experience in a similar position.
