Job Opportunity: Social Worker (Children) - Fostering, Supervision & Support
Location: Exeter & East Devon
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Pay: Up to £36.00 per hour (umbrella)
About the Role:
Join our dedicated team supporting foster carers across Exeter & East Devon! As a Supervising Social Worker, you will provide essential support, advice, and supervision to foster carers to ensure safe, thriving placements for children. Your work will be aligned with the National Minimum Standards for Fostering, Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011, and other relevant legislation.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Supporting and supervising foster carers through regular visits, including unannounced visits
* Conducting annual reviews and quality assurance to uphold high standards
* Assisting in the delivery of training to prospective and existing foster carers
* Championing professional social work practice and safeguarding the wellbeing of children
* Applying your strong knowledge of fostering regulations and legal options to best support children
Skills & Experience:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* ️ Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
* Robust post-qualifying experience in children and families social work
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
* Strong knowledge of fostering regulations and legislation
* Experience in fostering or transferable skills from related social work roles
* Excellent time management, recording, and planning skills
* Willingness to work across the South Fostering area
