Health and Safety Administrator & Waste Coordinator | Cambridge | Private Hospital | Competitive Salary | Full-Time | Permanent

Spire Cambridge Lea have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, proactive administrator to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take on a new challenge.

The successful candidate will support the Health and Safety Manager in an administrative capacity and coordinate the operational waste programme within the hospital alongside .

Duties and responsibilities

1. Taking primary responsibility for the accurate preparation, tracking of the Health & Safety Management System
2. Collation & preparation of all health and safety reports
3. Ensuring a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
4. To support line managers to ensure that the operational Management of Waste in use at the facility is managed with the aim of ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.
5. Ensure there are suitable and sufficient storage arrangements for different types of waste and that suitable waste bins are in place around the hospital
6. To ensure departmental recycling processes in place and followed

Who we're looking

7. Minimum 3 years of administration experience
8. Someone who is highly organised, has strong verbal and written communication skills and works well to tight deadlines
9. Competent user of the MS Office suite of products & Excel
10. Must be proactive and able to self-motivate
11. Experience working in a similar environment would be beneficial but by no means necessary as full training will be provided
12. Someone who works well as part of a team

Hours: Full Time, 37.5hrs pw - Monday - Friday 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm

Contract: Permanent
