Job Description: Editor & Content Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Editor & Content Manager to lead the editorial strategy and content production across our multi-channel B2B publishing and events portfolio. You will be a creative and strategic force behind our flagship magazine, website, and digital newsletters, while also shaping the marketing & content for the portfolio including our live events working in collaboration with the senior management & commercial teams.
Reporting to the Group Publisher, you will deliver immediate editorial/content needs and work to expand the profile further into new sectors & international territories. This role requires a commercial/marketing mindset, an eye for industry trends, and the ability to build high-level relationships with global trade operators, associations and government bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial & Multi-Channel Publishing
* Magazine & Digital News: Maintain & develop the editorial direction for our magazine, website, and newsletters, ensuring high-quality, thought-leadership content that resonates with our multi-interest audience.
* Content Production: Write, seek contributions, and edit engaging features, news stories, and top-level technical analysis.
* Multimedia: Record, edit, and promote video interviews and podcasts to enhance digital engagement.
Social Media & Audience Growth
* Follower Development: Manage social media channels to grow our community and drive traffic back to our digital, in-person & print platforms.
* Engagement Strategy: Develop innovative campaigns to increase reach and establish the brand as a primary source of industry intelligence.
Events Content Management
* Agenda Programming: Research and develop high-impact agendas for our existing & future conferences around the world.
* Speaker Management: Identify and secure top-tier speakers from industry and government sectors.
* On-Site Delivery: Provide on-site support to ensure a seamless content experience for attendees.
Commercial & Stakeholder Relations
* Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all content platforms for key stakeholders, including OEM's, distributors, consultants, trade associations and government bodies.
* Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop content-led commercial opportunities, such as sponsored webinars, white papers, and event-focused packages.
* Platform Growth: Identify, propose and execute content growth strategies to expand our existing platforms into new geographic territories.
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum 3+ years in an editorial or content manager role, ideally within a B2B publishing and events environment.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with CMS platforms, SEO best practices, and basic video editing tools.
* Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate industry trends into commercial opportunities and support sales initiatives.
* Communication: Exceptional writing and interviewing skills with the ability to engage senior leaders.
* Travel: Willingness to travel UK & internationally for industry meetings and events.
* Market knowledge (Useful not essential): Knowledge of process/energy/operational safety sectors beneficial.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
