We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team and provide support to children with disabilities. As a Social Worker specializing in children with disabilities, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of each child, developing individualized care plans, and connecting them with necessary resources and support services. Your role will also involve advocating for the rights of children with disabilities and collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the well-being of the children under your care.
Responsibilities
* Assess the needs of children with disabilities and develop personalized care plans
* Connect children and their families with relevant support services and resources
* Advocate for the rights and best interests of children with disabilities
* Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support
* Monitor the progress and well-being of children with disabilities and make necessary adjustments to care plans
Requirements
* Proven experience in social work, particularly with children and individuals with disabilities
* Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of children with disabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children with disabilities achieve their full potential
* Willingness to work in the office in Moor Lane 3 days a week, with a requirement to be in the office 5 days a week during the induction period
Additional Requirements
* Proven experience in quality assurance and reviewing services for children and young people
* Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory safeguarding requirements
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Commitment to championing the rights and well-being of children and young people
