We are looking for a kind, patient, and physically able person to support our son, a bright and engaging 15-year-old boy with autism and anxiety.
About the individual
* Developmentally around age 8
* Loves walks, the pier, swimming, bowling, arcades (especially Mario Kart!), history and game show
* Enjoys asking questions and interacting with others
* Needs constant adult guidance when out in public, as he is not independent
* Has a Blue Badge to support accessible parking
* Tall and strong, while not aggressive, he needs someone who can physically manage him and gently redirect him when needed
What We’re Looking For:
* A reliable, active, and compassionate individual who can build a positive relationship
* Someone who is happy to be authoritative
* Someone who can provide clear, consistent guidance and stay calm under pressure
* Experience with autism and/or anxiety/young adults preferred
* Someone physically able to walk longer distances and be attentive at all times
* Every other Sunday but can be flexible over the weekends.
* 4 hours every other Sunday with some additional days during the half terms and holidays
* Additional hours during school holidays and half terms
* Start date: Mid-September
* Main aim is supporting in the community going out and doing what he enjoys and promoting independence and safety.
