Job Responsibilities: \* Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on PSV (Public Service Vehicle) and HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) fleets, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and steering mechanisms. \* Diagnose and rectify complex electrical faults and system malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and schematics. \* Conduct preventative maintenance checks and adhere to scheduled service intervals to minimise breakdowns and maximise vehicle uptime. \* Carry out vehicle modifications and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company procedures. \* Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time, including job cards, defect reports, and service sheets. \* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and VOSA standards. \* Participate in on-call rotation or overtime as required to support operational needs. \* Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment. \* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to resolve technical issues and improve workshop efficiency. Job Qualifications: \* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or a relevant engineering discipline. \* Proven experience as a PSV or HGV Engineer in a workshop environment. \* Demonstrable expertise in diagnosing and rectifying complex electrical systems and faults on modern commercial vehicles. \* Full UK driving licence, preferably with PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) and/or HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) entitlements. \* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to PSVs and HGVs. \* Strong understanding of vehicle safety regulations and VOSA requirements. \* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. \* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. \* Good communication and interpersonal skills. \* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
