We are looking for a proactive and driven Food Production Zone Manager to join our Chilled Food manufacturing team in Bristol. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a designated production area, lead colleagues, and ensure processes run efficiently, safely, and to the highest food manufacturing standards. You will play a vital role in delivering production targets, maintaining quality and safety standards, and developing a high‑performing team. Responsibilities

* Deliver Production Performance
o Lead your department/zone to achieve productivity and efficiency targets in line with the production plan
o Ensure products are prepared and manufactured to the highest standards
* Lead and Develop Your Team
o Manage and support colleagues within your zone
o Monitor team capability and support development to maximise potential
o Ensure clear communication of goals, expectations, and performance standards
* Ensure Safety, Quality & Compliance
o Monitor raw materials, ingredients, and processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards
o Promote a strong health, safety & environmental culture
o Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and encourage near‑miss reporting
* Drive Operational Improvement
o Review operational trends and identify opportunities to improve quality, performance, and profitability
o Monitor machinery and equipment performance through Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
o Contribute to customer and technical process development reviews to enhance production quality and consistency
* Collaborate Across Operations
o Communicate regularly with the operations team on progress against the production plan
o Highlight risks to production volumes, timelines, or standards


Qualifications

* Good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and report in English
* Experience managing teams in a complex manufacturing environment
* Advanced Food Hygiene certification (HACCP Level 2)
* IOSH Level 2 qualification
