Assistant Accountant
* Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Coast
* Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Reed Accountancy Norwich is excited to partner with a well-established UK leisure organisation seeking a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to join their friendly on-site finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid bookkeeping or accounts experience who is eager to develop further within a supportive and growing business.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Report directly to the Financial Controller, playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the month-end process.
* Post transactions using Sage 50.
* Manage debtor reporting and credit control.
* Process income uploads and imports.
* Raise sales invoices and process purchase invoices.
* Handle payments (cash & PDQ).
* Reconcile petty cash and business bank accounts.
* Maintain up-to-date customer records.
* Carry out bank reconciliations.
* Support with management accounts and key reconciliations (fixed assets, stock, accruals, prepayments, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* AAT qualified or working towards.
* Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
* Minimum of two years’ experience in a Bookkeeping/Assistant Accountant position.
* Highly organised with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
