What is the job role?
As the Operational Lead for Fostering, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and strategic development of the fostering service. Key responsibilities include leading teams, implementing improvement plans and reforms and collaborating with stakeholders, including carers to drive forward service innovation.
The role is intrinsic in ensuring that Coventry’s Children and Education Services can meet it’s sufficiency duty and ensure children in care can live in a safe, loving home, close to their community.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, significant relevant experience in fostering with a good understanding of Fostering Regulations and relevant guidance and a commitment to safeguard children through supporting carers to meet their individual needs.
As the Operational Lead you will act as a Fostering Decision Maker, approving potential carers based upon assessment evidence including reg24’s, enabling family led solutions through Kinship Fostering arrangements.
