About the Roles
Mind in Salford is currently looking for 2 part time, permanent Advocates working with different client groups.
Community Advocate Hours: 21 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £23,920 - £26,500 per annum, pro rata
Base: Angel Centre Salford, M3 + Community
Role overview:
We are looking to recruit a community advocate who will specialise in working with vulnerable clients. For this role you will be based at the Angel Centre in Salford and you will work in the community around the Salford area. You will play a vital role in ensuring peoples views are listened too and people are treated with respect.
The people we support through community advocacy are: Over 60s, people with a learning disability, people with mental ill health, people with physical and/or sensory impairments and people who are autistic.
Required experience: Working within Advocacy or a Related Field for at least 1 year
Desirable experience: Holding the National Advocacy Certificate Qualification
Independent Mental Health Advocate Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £23,920 - £26,500 per annum, pro rata
Base: The Riverside Centre, Prestwich, M25
Role overview:
The post holder will support vulnerable patients within the Adult Forensic and Acute Adult Services of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation. This role is based at the Riverside Centre in Prestwich.
The role will include working with patients at various stages of their treatment and rehabilitation. Experience of providing Independent Mental Health Advocacy, or having worked in a related field, to a high standard. Relevant skills and experience from backgrounds other than advocacy can be build on.
Required experience: Working within Advocacy or a Related Field for at least 1 year
Desirable experience: Holding the National Advocacy Certificate Qualification
