About the role

Are you an experienced education leader looking for your next opportunity? The Education Advice and Support Division of the Department of Education, Sport and Culture is seeking to recruit a key education professional to a new development role in supporting education on the Isle of Man, from Early Years to Further and Higher Education. The successful candidate will have a background as an outstanding teacher and educational leader, be up to date on current research and trends in AEN/SEN and inclusive education and possess an outstanding ability to support senior leaders and Head teachers in schools and settings across the organisation, providing advice and guidance on key operational needs and long term strategic development.

This is an exciting and fulfilling role for an experienced educator looking for the next step in their career, working with a small but experienced team at the centre, but also spending time with senior leaders across the Island's schools, supporting them in day to day challenges and strategic school improvement and ensuring the best outcomes for learners on the Isle of Man.


Responsibilities

Support senior leaders and Head teachers in schools and settings across the organisation, providing advice and guidance on operational needs and long term strategic development. Qualifications

Outstanding teacher and educational leader with up-to-date knowledge of current research and trends in AEN/SEN and inclusive education; outstanding ability to support senior leaders and Head teachers.

Things to note

An enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, the cost of which will be covered by the Isle of Man Government. Please note a relocation package is not available for this role. A provisional interview date has been scheduled for 10 July 2026.
