We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are safe, roadworthy, and operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems. Diagnose faults using manual and computer-based diagnostic equipment. Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks in accordance with DVSA standards. Complete service records and job cards accurately and on time. Carry out MOT preparations and ensure all vehicles meet legal compliance. Perform roadside repairs and recovery when required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Liaise with drivers and management to report defects and progress. Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and new technology. Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work shifts or weekends if needed. Commitment to health & safety and workshop procedures. Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair manuals.
