Join Our Team as a First Line Governance Manager!
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional ready to make a significant impact? We’re on the lookout for a First Line Governance Manager to join our dynamic Consumer Roadside division. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our operations align with the highest standards of compliance and customer outcomes under the FCA’s Consumer Duty guidelines.
We seek someone who is not just motivated but also possesses a strong background in the General Insurance Industry and Consumer Duty. If you have practical experience in leading governance forums, documenting meetings, and tracking actions, you’ll fit right in! Your ability to support the business with change and risk management while managing stakeholders at all levels will be essential.
This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days a week from home.
What You Will Do...
* Lead and manage governance approval forums: chair meetings, document minutes, challenge proposals, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
* Drive first-line compliance with Consumer Duty, supporting both BAU activities and project-based initiatives.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of accountability and transparency.
* Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess customer outcomes and business impact.
* Support the development of training and awareness materials to promote understanding of compliance standards.
* Maintain accurate records and evidence of governance decisions and outcomes.
What You Will Need...
* Proven experience in financial services, ideally within a governance, compliance, or risk role.
* Strong understanding of Consumer Duty and its practical application.
* Knowledge of personal lines insurance products, operating models, and trading dynamics.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high standards.
