We are currently recruiting FULL-TIME PICKER & PACKER for a well-established manufacturing company. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and excellent company benefits.
Successful candidates will work across departments including machining, assembly and moulding, producing small, precision-made components.
Working Hours
* Monday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
* Tuesday - Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm
* Friday: 7:30am - 12:00pm (early finish!)
Please note: Start and finish times may vary by up to 10 minutes depending on department.
The Role
* £12.71 per hour
* Packing small items into individual grip sealed bags, labelled individually by hand.
* Items ranging in size from chemistry stirrer bars to items as small as "Tic Tacs".
* Inspecting small, delicate plastic components
* Picking and packing lightweight products
* Carrying out detailed quality checks to a high standard
* Following health & safety procedures
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area
This role involves fine, detailed handwork and would particularly suit candidates with experience in areas such as sewing, crafting, jewellery making, model making, textiles, embroidery, nail artistry, electronics assembly or other precision-based work requiring good dexterity and patience.
Requirements
* Excellent attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
* Confident handling small, delicate parts with care, patience and precision
* Previous experience in detailed manual work or precision assembly is highly desirable
* Backgrounds in crafts, sewing, textiles, hobbies or other dexterity-based work are strongly encouraged to apply
* Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Please note: this is not a heavy-duty warehouse role. We are specifically looking for candidates who are comfortable with intricate, hands-on work rather than heavy lifting or physically demanding labour.
