We are looking for enthusiastic and confident Trainee Careers Advisers to help us deliver our advice and guidance services to young people and adults in the Liverpool area.

Whilst graduates and people with advice & guidance qualifications are welcome to apply, we’re not insisting on a university degree, we are far more interested in your experience helping others, your attitude and the approach you can bring to the role. The rest we can teach you through this period of training.
Help us deliver on a range of exciting new programmes, including Careers Advice in schools, as well as working with young people who have disengaged from learning.
We will fund your Level 6 Careers Adviser professional qualification and give you the experience you need to achieve this degree level certificate. We have our own accredited Training Centre who will support you through your Level 6 qualification, (worth £3,045) which takes approx. 18 months. You can then progress through the salary grades to earn over £30k as a fully qualified Careers Adviser with Career Connect.
Starting Salary £26,262 rising to £30,012 per annum once qualified

After a period of training and shadowing, you will work across a number of school and community locations, delivering one-to-one careers guidance, aspirational/motivational group work and supporting young people to progress. Whilst you are training, you will move between our teams in Manchester/Merseyside, to give you a broad experience and understanding of the different client groups we support.

If you have relevant experience of supporting people to succeed, full training will be given to enable you to do the job. We provide laptop, mobile phone and relevant resources. You will be well equipped to deliver the role.
As a member of the Flexible Response Team, you will be based in Liverpool area but you could be delivering services in any of the areas of Manchester/ Merseyside, so we need you to be able to travel to different sites. Travel expenses will be paid for excess travel, beyond your base of work.
