Medical Secretary

Band 4 Medical Secretary, 30 hrs per week, working within Urgent & Emergency Care (U&EC). Based at West Cumberland Hospital. Fixed term maternity cover.
Exciting opportunity to join the U&EC Secretarial team, delivering high quality, patient focused services for Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care and Emergency Assessment Unit.
First point of contact for patients – professional, patient focused approach.
Provide high standard of administration support to the clinical team, liaising with other departments, patients, NHS Trusts and external agencies.
Maintaining records, forms, and ensuring compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and health and safety legislation.
Competent and professional Medical Secretary with pleasant, adaptable disposition, calm under pressure.
GCSE (minimum C Grade) and trained to RSA level 3 or NVQ level 3 in Administration or equivalent.
Medical administration background preferred.
Subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. DBS submission required; costs deducted from salary over four months.

£27,485 to £30,162 a year pro rata, per annum.
