The role
Working alongside the existing team, we will support you in delivering the following duties:
1. Preparing EIA Report and EA water environment assessments to support planning applications
2. Undertaking Private Water Supply risk assessments
3. Designing surface water and groundwater monitoring programmes
4. Undertaking surface water and groundwater monitoring
5. Supporting our geology team with peat probing
6. Preparing Controlled Activity Regulation authorisation applications for water abstractions, effluent discharges, engineering activities and construction site licences
7. Undertaking client liaison and project management
The preferred location is Edinburgh, but for those with relevant experience Stirling or Glasgow would be considered. We’d welcome applications from those wishing to return to work, or who would prefer agile or part-time working.
About You
We are looking for someone with professional hydrology experience, alongside formal training in hydrology or earth sciences.
8. BSc in hydrology or earth sciences
9. Practical experience managing and undertaking site investigations
10. Good communication, report writing and data analysis skills
11. Full UK driving licence
Whilst the role will be mostly office based there will be a need for site visits which may last for periods of up to 1 week.
