Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
* Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) during the pre-ITO (requisition) process while interfacing with the commercial team.
* Possesses a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value to aid winning bid strategies.
* Includes 'ITO': Technical analysis of client needs, definition and optimization of products, scope, schedule, industrial scheme, and costs, considering contract and internal policies and procedures.
* Calculates plant, system, and equipment performance and efficiency.
* Documents technical specifications and costing elements for subsequent contract execution phases.
* This includes OTR work where engineers customize products for specific customer needs.
* Develops in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
* Uses prior experience and technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
* Has an in-depth understanding of key business drivers and how their work contributes to the broader area.
* Uses some judgment and can propose different solutions with guidance.
* Employs prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
* Accesses technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems.
* May consult multiple internal sources to make decisions.
* Likely an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader capable of hiring and developing talent.
* Provides informal guidance to new team members.
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with relevant experience in customer application engineering or related fields.
* Advanced engineering experience focusing on technical analysis, performance estimation, and system optimization.
* Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
* Proven team experience, with ability to guide junior members and collaborate across functions.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
