My client is a reputable and well established specialist manufacturer, where quality is at the heart of everything they do.
They are now seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Engineer to join their trusted and successful business.
THE ROLE
Assist and support the Drawing Office team with day-to-day duties associated with the department.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare, process and distribute necessary drawings, cutting lists and technical details required to manufacture our Holiday Homes.
* Assist Furniture & Jig Draughtspeople on a daily basis with the creation of new drawings for both production purposes and new product development.
* Process modifications on pre-existing drawings.
* Assist with the production of CSV notching files by manually extracting applicable data from live drawings using bespoke software built into AutoCAD.
* Assist with the printing & plotting of line/side shop requested "replacement" drawings.
* Assist with Aftersales and Warranty queries, providing drawings and cutting lists where required.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 5.00pm; Friday 7.30am to 11.30am.
THE CANDIDATE
* Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2020 (upwards) with the ability to draught in 2D.
* Previous experience within a drawing office in the Caravan/Holiday Home industry or similar (Kitchen/Bedroom design / Modular buildings etc).
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
* Experience with Design Manager v.2020 document management software (not essential – in-house training will be given).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels.
* The ability to operate effectively within a team environment.
* A good standard of education with a strong work ethic.
* Flexible and proactive approach to work and working hours.
* Capable of managing time effectively.
* Disciplined.
