Head of Clinical Services (Registered Manager)
We are a Central London based mental health care provider with recently awarded CQC status in the regulated area of Treatment of Disease, Disorder and Injury, delivering nurse-led home care services nationally. We specialise in supporting the most complex and vulnerable people in society. We also have a sister company offering recruitment solutions to NHS trusts and private providers across the UK, including Scotland.
We are seeking a dedicated, commercially minded, and experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead our team, supported by the Company Director and nominated individual. This is a multi-faceted role, also acting as Head of Clinical Services.
Key Duties
Registered Manager (England)
* Hold legal accountability for regulated activities, compliance, and quality of care.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, governance, and service growth.
* Provide clinical leadership where required.
* Manage and supervise staff performance, ensuring safe, effective care.
* Lead audits, statutory notifications, and compliance with Health & Safety, infection control, and safeguarding.
* Ensure policies, procedures, and record keeping meet CQC standards.
* Manage complaints, compliments, and incidents, using findings for continuous improvement.
* Work with senior leadership on business development and service expansion.
* Develop and implement action plans, monitor KPIs, and allocate resources effectively.
Leadership & Management
* Uphold the NMC Code of Conduct.
* Lead recruitment, induction, and training of staff with HR and Compliance teams.
* Provide supervision, appraisals, and performance management.
* Support nurse revalidation and clinical standards.
* Represent the service at external meetings and promote its reputation.
* Contribute to strategic planning, budgets, and service growth.
Supporting Service Users
* Promote rights, dignity, and person-centred care.
* Conduct pre-admission assessments and oversee support plans.
* Ensure transparent communication with clients and families.
Training & Development
* Maintain own CPD and ensure staff training is up to date.
* Oversee training records and skill mix to meet service needs.
* Embed best practice across services.
General Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Clinical background (RMN, RNLD, or similar).
* Experience in residential/supported living with supervisory responsibilities.
* Strong commercial acumen and service delivery knowledge.
* Familiarity with safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, MHA, and relevant regulations.
* Clean UK driving licence.
* Knowledge of CQC inspection frameworks.
* Experience with children and young people with complex needs.
* Two of the last five years in a senior care role.
* Registration as a Registered Person under the Health and Social Care Act (2008).
